Youth Zone

in the Joy Anderson Room, Belong Blue Mountains - Mid Mountains Neighbourhood Centre

Saturday 17 October
9:00am – 4:00pm

From 9am at Mid Mountains Community Centre we have a dedicated youth zone in the Joy Anderson Room.

Aimed to be a place to hang out, loiter, come and go … free to use as a base for the day with friends.

Youth Market Stalls

Got something to make, create or sell? This is your chance to give running your own market stall a go!

As part of the Love Lawson Festival, young people aged 12–25 are invited to apply for a FREE stall at our Youth Market at the Mid Mountains Community Centre.

Whether you make art, jewellery, clothing, crafts, zines, accessories or have another creative product or small business idea, we’d love to hear from you. It’s a chance to sell your products to festival visitors, gain real market experience, build confidence and have some fun alongside other young creatives and friendly Lawson locals.

There is no stall fee, and participating stallholders will be covered under the Love Lawson Festival’s insurance.

Youth Zone Musicians

Billy Parsons

Local to the Blue Mountains, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Billy Parsons draws from an eclectic stirring pot of influences – namely soul, rock, RnB and blues. Through his highly unique guitar style interwoven with masterful vocals, Billy captivates audiences with his highly emotive originals and diverse selection of covers.

He is fresh off the release of his diverse debut EP “Next Week”, on which he handled all production, songwriting and recording – performing all vocals and instruments himself.

Neon Skies, Katoomba

Neon Skies is Katoomba’s home for Pokémon cards, collectables, retro consoles and vintage games, with a dedicated play space for TCGs, board games, painting and more. Run by collectors who genuinely love what they do, they’re a fantastic local business and a wonderful supporter of the Love Lawson Festival.
