Bori Cser
Bori Cser is a Hungarian-Australian author of young adult fantasy. At various times she has identified as a classically trained clarinettist, a biology PhD dropout and a dinosaur puppeteer, but these days mostly describes herself as in need of a nap. She lives on Dharug and Gundungurra country in Australia’s Blue Mountains with her partner and three high-maintenance cats. Mirrorwoven is her debut novel.
Jo Gardiner
Jo Gardiner lives in Woodford and is the author of The Concerto Inn (University of Western Australia Publishing, 2006), The Impossible Shore (Vagabond Press, 2024) and The Grasscutters (5 Islands Press, 2026). Her most recent publication was in The Saturday Paper, 22nd August, 2026.
We Are From Mars
We Are From Mars are Antony and Andy Mann, a father & son duo from Lawson who play sweet and soulful original folk tunes. With a depth and breadth of evocative lyrics, Andy’s wonderful, beguiling voice and melodies bring these songs to life.
Marie Byrne and Edmund Kairouz
Marie and Edmund played together in Sydney folk & bluegrass band The Torchsong Country Soul Band before Marie moved from the Big Smoke to the mountains, where she still sings and plays when she can. For many years Edmund has been the lead guitarist for Sydney musician Perry Keyes. This will be their first gig together as a duo.
Sarah Orgias
Local Lawson singer-songwriter Sarah leans into jazz and blues with her impressionistic songs and dreamlike vocals which delve into the further reaches of the heart. Sarah was the driving force behind local band Soular Spill.
The Skinks
Blue Mountains locals Karl Javernig & Andy Busuttil are The Skinks. Using classical guitar, FX, woodwind, percussion & live loops they build a groove-based structure. Over this they create an improvised soundscape that is beguiling, complex and completely original. It is freedom from certainty.
Rosey Ravelston Bookshop
A social enterprise bookshop based in the Blue Mountains, Dharug & Gundungurra country, Sydney, Australia.
Run by avid readers, with the vital support of a small group of volunteers, they’ve combined their love of reading with their passion for supporting & advocating on behalf of refugees.
They do this through hosting Refugee Week events, chatting with customers about their experiences working with refugees and by fundraising and supporting refugee charities, including the Blue Mountains Refugee Support Group, Rural Australians for Refugees, Refugee Advocacy and Casework Service (RACS and Australian Rohingya Women’s Development Organisation (ARWDO).
