Volunteer at the Love Lawson Festival
Help us bring Love Lawson to life
Love Lawson Festival is a community event, and it takes plenty of community hands to make it happen! We’re looking for friendly volunteers who can lend a hand before the festival and on the big day, whether that’s helping with stallholders, sharing information, putting up posters, managing pedestrian flow or simply helping us get everything set up and ready to go.
You don’t need special experience, and you don’t need to give us your entire day. If you can spare a few hours, we’d love to have you on the team.
Volunteer Briefing

If you’re interested in volunteering, come along to our Volunteer Briefing the week before the festival.
This is your chance to find out what help is needed, choose a job that suits you and register for a shift on festival day. It’s also a good opportunity to meet the team, ask questions and get familiar with how the day will work.
We particularly need volunteers to help with:
- Set up and pack down
- Stallholder bump in and bump out
- Information kiosks
- Carpark marshalling
- Pedestrian flow and crossing marshalling
- General site support
How can you help?
There are plenty of ways to get involved, both in the lead-up and on festival day.
Festival Day Volunteers
These are the roles where we particularly need some extra hands:
Setting Up
Help transform Lawson into festival mode before everything kicks off.
Stallholder Support
Help stallholders find their locations and assist with bump in and bump out.
Information Kiosk Attendants
Be a friendly face for festival visitors, helping with directions, program information and general questions.
Carpark Marshals
Help visitors navigate designated parking areas and keep things moving safely.
Pedestrian Crossing Marshals
Help manage pedestrian movement around busy festival areas.
Site Management
Help the festival team with general jobs and issues that crop up throughout the day.
Waste & Recycling
Help keep festival areas tidy and make sure waste and recycling end up where they belong.
Packing Up
Help us return Lawson to its usual self at the end of the festivities.
Working with Children Check
All Love Lawson Festival volunteers are encouraged to apply for a Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Volunteer Working with Children Checks are free and can be applied for online through Service NSW.
